I looked at my blog stats. It's not my fault. They're right there on the first page, now that my provider has switched up how their websites work. So I log in, and I see this spiking, very high ... really high ... enormously high ... number ... of people ... who are ... reading ... my ... blog. I don't know what to do with my hands. So uh ... how are you all today? Thanks for ... for coming over. I wrote today. That's exciting. I'm working on the last paper I'll ever write. I'm almost done. Just a few more citations in the ... in the works cited page ... I also did not get to work on my book as much as I wanted to, today. Because I have a cold. I slept for six hours and then had to write through a cold. It was pretty rough. But I used to get sick a lot more, back before I decided that working out and eating right were actually things I needed to do. I think a lot of us get in this bad habit of taking care of everything and everyone else before taking care of ourselves, and it's a wonder what a little self-care can do. Just popping in a vitamin and exercising for a half an hour can really brighten your perspective. And sitting here in the quietude of our apartment, with a simple day as being sick and doing 50 citations, I realize just how cool everything is turning out to be. We're married, we got to travel this summer, we're traveling again in about five months, and we're slowly learning how to cook at home without pulling our hair out. And I'm quite certain this blog entry is not worth the views it will receive. I promise I will be off the cold medicine tomorrow and will have something very profound to offer you. Please don't leave me. |
